About The Artist

I was born and raised in a small town that is nestled somewhere between Sauble Beach and Owen Sound, Shallow Lake Ontario. My older sister, brother and I spent the days on our beef farm making our own adventures.
I eventually moved to Waterloo, ON to attend Wilfred Laurier University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and Art History. I consider myself a lifelong learner, so I also received a Diploma in Interior Design from Fanshawe College as well as a Certificate of Master Cake Decoration from McCalls Cake School in Toronto.
Now, you can find me in New Dundee, a small town just outside of Waterloo where I live on a farm with my husband Oz (a nickname), our four young children, as well as some pasture raised pigs and chickens.
Creative projects, art, and design have always been my passion. I have gone through every creative phase you can think of including drawing, sketching, cake decorating, painting, quilting and scrapbooking. But, felting is where my heart is. After purchasing a piece of art by fellow felting artist Jennifer Budd in 2015, I was inspired to take a one day workshop with her and my love and passion for felting has only grown since.
I love the saturated colours of the wools and fibres. I love the texture and the hands-on creative process that’s involved when creating each piece. Making beautiful things with my hands is extremely therapeutic and helps me to relax. Felting is my own personal getaway and allows me to shut the doors of my studio and get creative for a few hours.
Teaching felting workshops has allowed me to help others learn and discover their own passion for this unique art form. It brings me so much joy to be able to inspire others to create beautiful pieces for their homes while embracing their full creative potential. If you are interested in attending a workshop, please don't hesitate to contact me.
